BIBA IN STOCK DEC 2012:
a) Burnt orange, lace maxi robe/coat, with satin padded cuffs and collar. Appears unworn. Make a great evening coat
b) Blue and Silver lurex knit waistcoat with the 'mistress' (wings) Biba label. Made for a very skinny man but fit a skinny boy or girl now!. In rare, mint condition. Made in Italy so higher quality knitwear.
c) Wonderful late 60s green sprig print skirt and jacket suit in viscose. Short length, flare skirt and fitted jacket with patch pockets. Super cute, great bright green print, all it's original covered buttons and very good condition.
COLIN GLASGOE: we have one of the most chic and beautiful dresses by this designer I've ever had. A silk scarf print mini cocktail dress with angel sleeve and covered buttons front, a size 8. This wonderful dress is better than a Pucci!

I collect original and unusual Jean Muir from the 60s-70s with large number of items from private collection which spans the 60s to 80s.
I have dresses, skirts, trousers and tops in printed and plain jersey rayon, silk, wool. Printed dresses, wool dresss, silksuits and coats. Some of this collection was given to the owner by Jean Muir herself. Stock includes;
1960s Jean Muir SILK PRINTED DRESS
Late 1960s Jean Muir SILK TROUSER SUIT
This is a fabulous find. A shirt-tunic top with billowing palazzo pants in the most evocative print. Pastel, ice-cream colours in a 'Yellow-Submarine' style trippy-deco illustrative design.
We also have some rare dresses using Indian Silks which she sourced for one particular collection in the 1970s. These are beautiful prints, in greens and turquoise / black and yellows / and paisley greys and lilacs. Suitable all year round, worn on their own in the summer for complete coolness or over turtleneck and tights in the winter.
SUEDE AND LEATHER: Currently in stock is a rare range of Jean Muir's leather and suede jackets, tops and dresses. In the lightest and best quality skins, some of her suede jackets are as light as a feather. From blacks, brown and greys to bold orange, blues and stripes, many with her now-copied punch cut detailing.
SUITS : 1940s to 70s
We currently have several dress and coat costume suits from the 1950s and 1960s. These include;
a) 1950s sage silk wiggle dress and opera style, flared coat. Dress is a size 8 (but has good seam allowance), the coat would fit many sizes. This was couture made for a diplomats wife.
b)1960s turquoise brocade print fitted dress with button feature back, beautiful coat with large, leather backed diamante buttons. The coat has a pleated 'train' feature back. Best fit 8-sm 10. A stunning, chic set.
c) 1960s graphic print dark pink and blue fitted sleeveless shift dress and coat. A bold, geometric suit. Very similar to the designs Prada, Marni and Miu Miu have been resurrecting. Fit 10-12
d) 1960s soft green/pale pistacchio wool dress and jacket suit. Professionally tailor made, no labels. The dress is simple and chic with panel detail, very similar to Courreges and Cardin. The jacket has wonderful buttons made from the curved twists of the suit fabric. The dress is understated and super chic with short sleeves. Best fit 8-10. Jacket would be great worn alone, contrasted with another colour or with jeans.

b) rare BRUCE OLDFIELD 1970s bright blue jersey with very plunge front cleverly held in place by long weighted ties at the neck. Tie belt and loose flare legs. This is in a rare LARGER size, fit up to 14.
Women of all ages come to us for a non-traditional wedding dress, often from the 1960s and 70s, both short and long. We usually stock something 'wedding suitable'. glamourous, fun, comfortable - and which won't break the bank! We also stock wedding suitable jewellery, hats, headpieces and bags.
Traditional wedding dress : late 40s -50:
It originally had long sleeves with pointed ends at wrist which we have removed to give it a more 30s Hollywood look. They could be worn as a long open ended or replaced after any needed alterations to bust are made.
1960ssuper chic wool dress by Ted Lapidus. Cream with cream soutache swirl details on bodice and cuffs. This is very much in the Pierre Cardin or Courreges style.
1970sFrank Usher heavy rayon strappy cream dress with two thin straps. Dark gold applique motifs top of bust, extending onto straps one side. Fitted at waist then flaring out to maxi length. Very glamourous, goddess style drss with a great swishy weight to it.
early 80s super glam long black velvet coat with sequined edged quilted squares. From the private collection and house of Mr Givenchy in Paris. Silk lined by hand and feels incredble on like only Couture can

We have a rare chenille wrap coat by Aristos c. mid 1970s in great condition. In hues of blue. Small waist, fit an 8.

I recently acquired a group of cotton voile and silk embroidered Czech blouses, from the collection of the late Sheila Paine, famous textile and folk costume collector.
I have a lovely 1950s patchwork circle skirt, a jackets from the 1930s (which includes much older fabric, Victorian & 20s/30s), plus a wonderful patchwork swing coat. 1940s and 50s
bras and slips from 30s to 60s. Several long silk and satin white, cream and pink 1930s gowns in stock now. Many with cut-out and plunge back details, lace detailing and plunge neckline. Fit to wear out or for wedding dresses, just add corsages and/or capes.
